Hey! Welcome back to my blog! Today I wanted to do another little post about blogging and tips I have for my fellow bloggers! I’m sharing with you my top 5 apps that bloggers should have! Enjoy!
UNUM is an awesome app to have for planning out your Instagram content! It shows you a grid layout of your Instagram page and allows you to add photos to the squares above to see what order and what photos look best. I absolutely love using this app. Since I try to take the majority of my Instagram pictures in one go, I can edit them and then add them to UNUM to see what my Instagram page will look like throughout the month.
Unfold is a cute little app you can use to make your Instagram stories more fun! There are tons of different layouts you can use and add pictures and text. These are a great way to take regular photos and post them to your story in a fun way instead of just putting it up there super zoomed in or not filling the whole screen.
If you blog through WordPress.com, having the app is amazingly useful! Sometimes if I’m in bed and don’t have my laptop but have an idea for a blog post I’ll start typing it up in the app and saving it as a draft so I can look at it and edit it the next day. I also use the app sometimes to hit publish on a blog post if I’m on the go. It’s super helpful and I highly recommend. I know Blogger also has an app, so if you use that for your blog I recommend trying their app as well.
Okay so, I lied. I’m technically sharing with you 6 apps instead of 5 because these two both need to be shared! VSCO and Lightroom are two photo editing apps that I love! I’ve used VSCO for years to edit my photos and just recently starting using Lightroom after purchasing presets on Etsy. I can’t really say one is better than the other because it honestly just depends on your preferences but they are both free so I recommend trying them out and seeing which works best to your liking!
Lastly, I recommend Feedly. Feedly is a great app to use to read posts from your favorite bloggers! What’s nice about it is that you can read their posts all in one place instead of having to hop from page to page or scroll through emails to find a post notification. It keeps track of what posts you’ve read or not so you always can stay up to date!
And there you have it! My top 5 (well…6) apps for bloggers! What app do you find most useful for blogging? Let me know in a comment! Also, if you liked this post, be sure to head to my homepage and subscribe to emails and follow me on Instagram @mainly.mackenzie!
