Hi! Welcome back to my blog!
I’ve gone through a lot when it comes to my skin. I plan on writing an in-depth post all about everything I’ve gone through with my skin so keep on the lookout for that! Today I’m sharing with you my night time skin routine! I’ve changed things around a lot but have finally found a simple routine that works well for me.
1. WASH MY FACE
A gentle cleanser is my favorite thing to use! I’ve tried medicated cleansers (even one with 10% benzoyl peroxide!) but my skin is super sensitive. Switching to a simple cleanser has made a world of the difference and doesn’t dry out my skin. Currently, I use the Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser.
One of the best skincare tips I’ve gotten is to use a liquid exfoliator. Harsh exfoliators can create micro-tears in your skin which causes even more breakouts, so a liquid exfoliator is perfect! I use it the same way as a toner, putting it on after washing my face and leaving it on my skin. I also use reusable face pads that I purchased on Etsy to reduce my waste.
3. TOPICAL TREATMENT
I’ve tried Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid but they both don’t really work well for me. Instead, I use Curology! Curology is a website where you can fill out a quiz and send pictures to a dermatologist and they create a personalized topical treatment just for you. Then you get a bottle delivered every two months!
After putting on the Curology I brush my teeth to let it sink in. Once I’m done with that I moisturize!
Moisturizing is super important! I always go for some kind of simple moisturizer for sensitive skin. In the past, I’ve used the Neutrogena sensitive skin moisturizer but the last time I went to buy it Target was out so I’ve been using an Olay version! It feels the same and I like the packaging better for travel!
That’s all I do! It’s a super simple routine and it’s great. My skin has improved so much since I’ve simplified my routine.
